The University of Colorado Dental School of Medicine is undoubtedly one of the most renowned dental schools in the entire United States. It is situated on the University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus in the Rocky Mountains city of Aurora, Colorado. It is currently the only major dental school within Colorado. A large number of residents of Colorado and neighboring states have been attending the University of Colorado Dental School of Medicine since it was established in 2007. Many of them are currently preparing to take up careers as professional dentists or dental hygienists.

The University of Colorado Dental School of Medicine has two semesters and is divided into two sections namely the Interdisciplinary Dental Program and the Professional Dental Training and Research Programs. Both the programs allow students to specialize in particular areas of dentistry like endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, dental surgery, pediatric dentistry, adult dentistry, radiology, periodontics, sutures and bridging dentistry. The first two semesters provide broad knowledge in the theoretical aspect of dental medicine and the third semester provides more theory based trainings. This program also offers the opportunity to earn a two-year degree which covers all the subjects and specializations in dentistry.

During the first semester, students can opt to complete core courses in dentistry. Upon completion of these courses, students earn an associate’s degree which gives them the option to enroll into either the professional or interdisciplinary program. The students can earn either a diploma or a degree depending upon their choice. Students can apply for a scholarship, which is given upon enrollment into either the professional or interdisciplinary program.

The second semester of this program allows students to continue their studies and complete their required courses. It also introduces the students to the clinical activities that take place during a dental training program. The third semester introduces the students to the technical aspects of dental procedures. The topics that are covered in this phase are ethics, medical regulations, basic principles of dental treatments, dentistry courses and their importance in the field of dentistry. The first two semesters allow students to study all the basic courses necessary for the training but those who wish to specialize in any field can enroll as a graduate student.

Cu dental schools offer specialized programs for students studying in the fields of orthodontics, dentistry, prosthodontics, periodontics and pediatric dentistry. The training offered by this school is rigorous and thorough, so students need to undergo rigorous classes and subjects in order to excel in their fields of specialization. The requirements of students in specializations are slightly different from one another. The upper limit of the upper age limit of students studying in this specialty is fifty years old. In addition to this requirement, students need to be of average height for they are required to stand till the end of each term. Students studying in the specialized programs are required to meet some other requirements such as good communication skills, good oral qualities and immaculate attendance.

The Cu Dental School in Bangkok has its branches in many cities of Thailand. Most of these schools are accredited by the Thai board of dental externship and have earned the accreditation within three years. Students studying in these schools are allowed to sit for the initial examination after passing the prescribed exam. The school has branches in Chiang Mai, Nakhon Phanom, Phuket, Bangkok and Pattaya.
